Polk State Volleyball Falls 3-0 to College of Central Florida on Sophomore Night

WINTER HAVEN - The Polk State College volleyball team concluded the 2011 home schedule with a 3-0 (22-25, 18-25, 18-25) loss to the College of Central Florida Monday evening at the Health Center. 

Prior to the game, the Eagles celebrated sophomore night by honoring their four sophomores, Chloe Boehm (Arcadia, Fl.), Kahoriz Feliz Florian (Santo Domingo, DR), Limanelie Garcia (Land O' Lakes, Fl.) and Yaritza Santiago (Puerto Rico).

Florian and Stephanie Harris (Miami, Fl.) led Polk with nine kills apiece, while Boehm had 13 assist to lead the Eagles.

The loss dropped the Eagles to 15-9 overall. College of Central Florida, which entered Monday night's contest ranked 15th in the country, improved to 32-5 overall.   

Polk returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 19 when it heads to Fort Pierce, Fl. to meet Indian River State College in non-conference action at 7 p.m.
