Eagles Take Match From State College of Florida

The No. 5 Polk State College volleyball team earned a 3-1 ( 25-19, 26-28, 25-22, 25-23) Suncoast Conference victory Tuesday over No. 4 State College of Florida in Bradenton.

Sophomore Diannmarie Rivera (Puerto Rico) led the Eagles (16-11/4-3) with 14 kills and 13 digs.

Freshman Ana Karine-Cavalcante (Puerto Rico) posted 14 kills and 10 digs.

Freshman Rossanna Ramos (Puerto Rico) registered 17 digs and three aces.

Ashley Toth (Edgewater) dished out 36 assists. Liz Garcia (Utah) added eight blocks.

The Eagles host St. Petersburg College Thursday at 7 p.m. on Breast Cancer Awareness Night at the Winter Haven Health Center.

All fans receive a "Fight Like A Girl" decal and pink bracelet.
