Eagles win first two games but lose match to SCF

Polk State won the first two games but couldn't win a third tonight, losing to Suncoast Conference rival State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 13-25, 14-16).

The Eagles now find themselves in a three-way tie for first place in the conference.
Elisabeth Piroli recorded 40 assists, 16 blocks, nine digs, and one ace.
 
Zoemy Barreto added 11 digs, 10 kills, two aces, and two blocks.

Rossanna Ramos had 21 digs, two aces, and one assist.

Genesis Castillo tallied 12 kills, four digs, three blocks, and one kill.

Laina Blanton had six kills, five blocks, and one dig.

The Eagles (5-14, 2-1) host the Polk State Tournament Friday and Saturday. On Friday they play No. 6 Miami Dade College at 1 p.m. and No. 9 Daytona State College at 6 p.m.
