Eagles make it six straight with win over South Florida

The Polk State Eagles won their sixth straight match tonight, beating South Florida State College 3-1 in Avon Park. 

With the win, Polk State remains tied for first place in the Suncoast Conference. 

After dropping the first game 24-26, the Eagles came back to win three in a row (25-20, 25-15, and 25-16). 

For the Eagles, Rossanna Ramos had three aces and 33 digs, marking the fourth time this season she earned a spot in the 25 Dig Club. 

Elisabeth Piroli led the team in assists with 31, while Alejandra Robles added 17 and Yara Ramirez chipped in three. 

Ana Karine Cavalcante had 15 kills, 13 digs, two blocks, and two aces. 

Genesis Castillo made 12 digs, eight kills, and four blocks. 

Shatorreia Edgecombe had 10 digs and eight kills. 

Suheily Colon made five kills and four blocks. 

Laina Blanton added four kills and four blocks. 

The Eagles (11-15, 5-1) travel to Jacksonville tomorrow for the Florida State College at Jacksonville Tournament. They'll play two games on Friday and twice on Saturday.
