Santana, Wu earn Player of the Week recognition

For the third straight week, Polk State's Yue Wu has been named NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Player of the Week. 

Keisha Santana of Polk State was also named NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. 

Santana and Wu led the Eagles to a 3-1 week, including wins over FCSAA No. 9 Miami Dade and No. 8 Daytona State. 

A freshman outside hitter/right side hitter from Shanghai, China, Wu recorded double-doubles in each match, including a 20-kill, 23-dig effort vs. South Florida State. 

She averaged 6.0 kills, 4.0 digs, 0.3 assists, 0.2 service aces, 0.5 blocks and 6.4 points per set (15 total sets) while tallying a .303 hitting percentage. 

Wu had a season-high 33 kills vs. Central Florida and leads the nation in total kills (315).

Santana, a freshman libero from Junco, Puerto Rico, averaged 5.2 digs over a total of 15 sets played.She posted double-figures in digs in all four matches, including 20-plus dig efforts vs. South Florida State (20) 
and nationally ranked Central Florida (23).

Santana ranks among the FCSAA's top ten in both total digs (333, 4th) and digs per set (4.44, 8th).
