Chiara Bosetti named state and national Player of the Week

Chiara Bosetti of Polk State volleyball has been named Player of the Week by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) and NJCAA D1 Offensive Player of the Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association for all matches played Sept. 3-9.

A sophomore from Albizatte, Italy, Bosetti averaged 4.7 kills and 2.9 digs in 13 sets over four matches.

She helped Polk State to wins in all four matches at the Lee College Invitational in Baytown, Texas, where she posted a pair of 20+ nights in the kill column and had two double-doubles (kills/digs). 

Bosetti made 20 kills and 12 digs vs. Lee College and had 23 kills and 15 digs vs. Panola College (No. 6 NJCAA).

She also ranks 4thin the FCSAA and 12thin the NJCAA in kills per set (3.79).

The Eagles (No. 3 FCSAA, No. 18 NJCAA) have an 8-4 record.
