Nayeli Vilchez named Setter of the Week

Nayeli Vilchez of Polk State volleyball has been named Setter of the Week by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) for all matches played Sept. 3-9.

A freshman from Lima, Peru, Vilchez averaged 6.5 assists in 13 sets over four matches.

She led Polk State to four wins in as many matches at the Lee College Invitational in Baytown, Texas, where she recorded double-digit assists in each match and had a double-double (35 assists, 11 digs) in a win over Panola College (No. 6 NJCAA).

The Eagles (No. 3 FCSAA, No. 18 NJCAA) have an 8-4 record.
