Ibarguen and Cardona earn Player and Setter of the Week honors

Polk State volleyball's Manuela Ibarguen and Milexa Cardona have been named Player of the Week and Setter of the Week by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA).  

Ibarguen, a freshman from Rio Negro, Colombia, averaged 5 kills and 2.2 digs over 21 sets in six matches. She posted double-digit kills in each match 

A sophomore from Orlando, Cardona averaged 8.7 assists in 21 sets over six matches. She recorded at least 25 assists in each match.  

Together, they helped the Eagles to start the season 6-0, including wins over nationally ranked Tyler Junior College and Panola College.
