FRESHMAN SEASON (2025 at Washburn University)
Wende appeared in five games as a freshman, pitching nine innings with a 4.67 earned runs average. She did not factor in a decision, but recorded her first career strikeout in a win over Northern State University. Wende made the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Academic Honor Roll. 

BIO:
The daughter of Chad and Tatum Wende, Avery Wende is a native of Kansas. She has a brother named Blake and a sister named Savanah. During her career at Silver Lake High School, Wende was recognized as a first-team pitcher by Sports in Kansas and Top Sports News. Also a part of her high school dance team, Wende once danced in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She began her collegiate career at Washburn University, an NCAA Division II school in Kansas.
