FRESHMAN SEASON (2026)
The lead-off hitter for Polk State, Holmes finished the season by batting .347 with nine home runs and 32 RBIs. She led the team in hits (60), runs scored (44), triples (5) and stolen bases (29), earning second-team All-Citrus Conference honors. Holmes' 29 steals were the most for a Polk State player since 2014. Against Lake-Sumter State College on Feb. 5, Holmes hit her first of three lead-off home runs for Polk State. Polk State had not had a lead-off home run since 2022. Holmes played in 52 games and had 15 multi-hit games for the season, including four straight from March 10 through 14. Holmes had a season-high four hits and three runs scored against Lake-Sumter State College on Feb. 5. She also scored three runs against St. Petersburg College on March 5 and Seminole State College of Florida on March 17. Holmes had three RBIs on three separate occasions. She stole a season-high four bases in a loss to Florida SouthWestern State College on March 14.

BIO:
The daughter of Lonnie Holmes and Erica Gunter, Calonnie Holmes is a graduate of Haines City High School. During her time at Haines City, Holmes also competed in track and field and finished fifth in the state in the javelin as a senior. She was named All-Polk County for softball in 2023 and 2025.
