Pollock enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Eagles. Pollock spent last season as a high school assistant at her alma mater McKeel Academy in Lakeland.
"Being able to coach at a higher level has always appealed to me," Pollock said. "In high school, they're still learning the game. Here, it's more about guiding them to perform better and to compete at a higher level."
A former All-County first baseman at McKeel, Pollock was able to play seven years of varsity softball – from sixth grade through high school.
"Softball has always been a big part of my life," she said. "I wanted to be able to do for these players what my coaches did for me. I was fortunate to have a lot of great coaches over the years. Being able to see something you say help them is the most rewarding part. It's great to be able to do something you love and this was a great opportunity."
