SOPHOMORE SEASON (2025)
As a sophomore, Allen led Polk State with 26 appearances in the circle, finishing with an 8-8 record with eight complete games and one save. Allen logged 88.1 innings and finished with a team-high 53 strikeouts. Allen recorded her first career shutout in an 8-0 run-rule victory over U.S. Air Force Academy Club Team on Jan. 26. She did not allow an earned run in any of her first seven appearances. Allen tossed a two-hit shutout in a 4-0 win over St. Petersburg College on March 15. She picked up the win and recorded a season-high eight strikeouts in her final Polk State outing -- a 4-3 win over No. 9 Miami Dade College on April 28.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2024)
As a freshman, Allen appeared in 40 games -- in the field and in the circle. Allen hit .208 with 15 runs scored and seven stolen bases. In the circle, Allen finished tied for the team lead in wins with five and with a team-high 109 strikeouts in 134 innings. In an 8-5 victory over Oakland Community College on Feb. 23, Allen struck out 13 batters. That was the most for a Polk State pitcher since Kayla Montgomery struck out 13 in a win over Finlandia University in March 2013.

BIO:
Donnea "Dee" Allen comes to Polk State from North Port High School where she was a record-breaking sprinter for the track and field team. The daughter of Quentin and Christine Allen, she has one brother and two sisters. A fan of the cartoon Care Bears, Allen has a large collection of Care Bears memorabilia. She played travel ball for Florida Select Davis Softball.
