Kevin Lewis

Kevin Lewis began his tenure at Polk State College in 2024 after two years at Hocking College, an NJCAA Division II program in Ohio.
 
Over his two years at Hocking, Lewis led the Hawks to a combined 46-24 record. In 2023, Hocking finished 30-9 with an Ohio Community College Athletic Conference championship, and a Region 12 semifinal appearance.
 
A native of Michigan and a 2005 graduate of Missouri Baptist University, Lewis hold a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management with a minor in Kinesiology. Lewis played college baseball as a pitcher at Olivet University, an NCAA Division III program in Michigan, and Missouri Baptist. Lewis also represented the U.S. in international tournaments in Venezuela and Peru.
 
Lewis comes to Polk State with more than 20 years of experience coaching baseball and softball. Previously the owner of multiple training facilities, Lewis’ first college coaching job came as pitching coach for the Kalamazoo Valley Community College baseball team in Michigan.
 
Lewis got his first college head coaching job at Glen Oaks Community College in Michigan where he spent the COVID-shortened 2020 season. Lewis was hired as the first head coach of the new Hocking program in 2022.
 
Lewis has two children – a son Keegan and a daughter Karyna. Lewis coached his daughter at Hocking during the 2023 season and at Polk State in 2025.
