A member of Polk State College's Office of Communications and Public Affairs, Mike Ferguson has provided athletics coverage for Polk State since April 2022.
Ferguson arrived at Polk State after spending three years at the City of Haines City. Prior to that, he spent eight total years, five full-time, at The Ledger, Polk County's newspaper where he covered local news, breaking news, and sports. A native of East Polk County, Ferguson graduated from Polk State in 2006 with an Associate in Arts before earning a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in 2009.Â
Since 2011, Ferguson has worked for various publications. His work has been featured and syndicated by Athlon Sports, FOX Sports, the Associated Press, Bleacher Report, Sports Illustrated, Yahoo!, and more. He resides in Davenport, Fla. with his wife Jennifer and his two daughters, Trinity and Greenly.Â
