SOPHOMORE SEASON (2023-24)
Nelson was selected to the Citrus Conference's first team following a monster sophomore season. Nelson averaged 20.1 points per game this season. That was good for fourth in the FCSAA and the highest average for a Polk State player in seven years. Nelson scored in double figures in 27 of the 28 games he played this season, including a career-high 33 points in a loss against Indian River State College on Feb. 28. Nelson shot 45% from the field and 74% from the free-throw line. Nelson also ranked second on the team and in the top 15 in the state, averaging 1.7 steals per contest.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2022-23)
Nelson was the lone freshman to earn All-Suncoast Conference honors for the 2022-23 season for Polk State. Nelson was the third-leading scorer for the Eagles, averaging 11.2 points per game. The Miami native also averaged 4.4 rebounds and nearly one steal. Nelson scored a season-high 24 points in a 111-88 loss to No. 18 Daytona State College on Jan. 28 while shooting 8-for-16 from the field. Following the season, Nelson was invited to the JA48 All Stars East in St. Louis, Mo. -- one of the top recruiting events in the country.
