SOPHOMORE SEASON (2025)
Alvarez led Polk State with 27 appearances as a sophomore. For the season, Alvarez posted a 3-2 record and 4.15 ERA. The three wins were tied for third on the team. He finished with 37 strikeouts in 30.1 innings. Alvarez recorded a career-high five strikeouts in the season opener against St. Petersburg College. 

FRESHMAN SEASON (2024)
Alvarez appeared in 15 games, posting a 2-0 record and 4.02 ERA in 15.2 innings. Alvarez registered 23 strikeouts and 12 walks. He picked up his first career win in a 2-0 victory over Lake-Sumter State College on Jan. 31 when he worked two scoreless innings, striking out four. 

BIO:
Alvarez played at Northside Christian High School for Head Coach Robert Rodriguez. He made the All-District team. As a high school senior, he had 12 pitching appearances with an ERA of 0.84. Alvarez is the son of Adam and Christina Alvarez. Alvarez enjoys playing video games, playing catch with his friends, eating tacos, vacationing in Mexico, and listening to music. He is a fan of the New York Yankees and pitcher David Price. His fondest high school memory is winning the district championship.
