FRESHMAN SEASON (2026)
Carter Finnel went 2-for-13 at the plate for Polk State in 31 games. Finnel scored six runs as a freshman. He recorded his first career hit and first two runs in a 9-6 win over Lake-Sumter State College on Feb. 7. Against University of Tampa (B) on Feb. 24, Finnel finished 1-for-2 with his two runs scored, his first career extra-base hit -- a double. His first career RBI came in a 9-3 win over Eastern Florida State College on Feb. 14.

BIO:
Carter Finnell arrives at Polk State after playing varsity baseball at Lake Wales High School for Coach Steve Wilmoth. At Lake Wales, he played 99 games, hitting .293 with 71 hits, 46 RBIs, 10 doubles, three triples and 50 runs scored, earning second-team All-Polk County honors. Off the field, Finnell enjoys lifting weights and fishing. His favorite movie is Top Gun Maverick. The son of Scott and Deann Finnell, his favorite food is steak.
