FRESHMAN SEASON (2026)
Edrick Ayala appeared in 24 games for Polk State, batting .286 with one home run and three RBIs as a freshman. Ayala also scored 11 runs, including two each in wins over Hillsborough College on Jan. 27 and Webber International University (B) on March 3 when he also stole a career-high two bases. Ayala hit his first career home run in a win over Florida Southern College (B) on Feb. 5. 

BIO:
Edrick Ayala comes to Polk State from nearby Lakeland High School where he played for Coach Len Britcher. In 26 games, he hit .408 with 31 hits, 21 RBIs, five doubles, two triples, two home runs and 19 runs scored. He was once MVP and won a Gold Glove at a tournament in Georgia. Outside of baseball, he likes going to the gym. His favorite movie is Avatar and favorite food is pizza. The son of Wilfredo and Milady, he has brothers named Diego and Derek.
