Polk State College

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024)
The only player to appear in all 58 games for Polk State, Wainman batted .279 as a sophomore with three home runs and 37 RBIs. In a 14-4 win over St. Johns River State College on April 9, Waiman recorded a career-high five RBIs, headlined by a a grand slam. He finished third on the team in home runs and second in RBIs. 

FRESHMAN SEASON (2023)
Wainman saw time at first and third base as a freshman, appearing in 34 games. He hit .284 with three home runs, six doubles, and 24 RBIs. Wainman's first career home run came in his collegiate debut -- a 13-7 loss to Chipola College at the JUCO Early Bird Kickoff to open the season. He had his first career three-hit game in a 10-1 win over Warner University on April 4.

HIGH SCHOOL: Two-time First Team All-Western Conference at Newsome High School. Voted Newsome's Most Valuable Player in 2021. A member of the District Runners-Up team in 2021. Wainman won the Frank Permuy Best Hitter Award at the Saladino Tournament.

PERSONAL: Son of Jennifer and Russ. Plans to pursue a degree in engineering. Evan's favorite athletic teams are the Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His favorite athlete is David Ortiz. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, playing cornhole, and traveling. Evan's favorite food is bacon and his favorite tv show is NCIS. He is committed to Georgia Southwestern State University.
