FRESHMAN SEASON (2025)
A walk-on, Sawyer produced in his 15 appearances as a freshman, posting a 2-1 record and 4.71 ERA. Sawyer finished with 19 strikeouts in 28.2 innings. Sawyer's wins came in back-to-back appearances against Lake-Sumter State College on April 8 and South Florida State College on April 15. Sawyer worked a career-high four innings in his collegiate debut against Chipola College on Jan. 24. He recorded a career-high four strikeouts on two separate occasions.

Sawyer comes to Polk State from Inspiration Academy where he posted three wins in 13 appearances. Born to Steve and Melissa Sawyer on July 13, 2006, Sawyer is a fan of the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani. When he’s not on mound, Sawyer likes watching Good Will Hunting, eating pasta, vacationing in California, and playing the guitar. His fondest high school memory was going on a cruise for his senior trip.
