SOPHOMORE SEASON (2026)
Cruz appeared in 47 games as a sophomore, hitting .264 with one double, two triples, 16 RBIs and 11 stolen bases. Cruz had nine two-hit games, including three straight from March 28 through April 2. Cruz finished with two RBIs in wins over University of Tampa (B) on Feb. 24 and Eastern Florida State College on March 31. Cruz scored two runs in a game on five occasions.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2025)
A versatile player, Cruz appeared in 36 games for Polk State as a freshman, posting a .270 batting average and .392 on-base percentage. Cruz finished the year with 25 runs scored, 15 RBIs, and four stolen bases. Cruz had three-hit games against Miami Dade College on March 1, Daytona State College on March 22, and Webber International University (B) on April 1. Cruz scored a career-high three runs against Daytona State on March 22 and finished with a career-high four RBIs against Webber (B) on April 1. He logged his first career walk-off hit with a bunt single in a 7-6 win over St. Petersburg College on March 18.

BIO:
A local product, Cruz hit. 323 to go with a .403 on-base percentage, 43 hits, 31 runs scored, 19 runs RBIs, and six doubles at Winter Haven High School. Born July 27, 2005, to Emilio and Perfecta Cruz, he goes by the nickname, “JC.” Cruz has three siblings, Nate Cruz, Emilio Cruz and Elissa Webb. A fan of the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees infielder Jazz Chisholm Jr., Cruz enjoys the movie Friday, eating at Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, playing golf and visiting Anna Maria Island. Cruz’s fondest high school memory is recording the walk-off hit against Lakeland Christian School.
