SOPHOMORE SEASON (2024)
Johnson batted .287 in his lone season at Polk State with two home runs, 20 RBIs, and eight stolen bases. Johnson was a versatile player, seeing time in the infield, outfield, and at catcher. He ranked second on the team with a .412 on-base percentage. 

BEFORE POLK STATE: 
Johnson played varsity baseball for Head Coach Dick Rohrberg at Newsome High School where he was a two-time All-Hillsborough County selection and an All-Conference honoree. Before arriving at Polk State, Kelsen played at St. Petersburg College where he played 42 games as a freshman, batting .359 with three home runs, 36 RBIs, 35 runs scored, and 20 stolen bases to earn first-team All-Suncoast Conference honors. Johnson is the son of Toby and Candice Johnson and has one sibling – Seth. In his spare time, Johnson enjoys running and hunting. He is committed to attend Georgia Southwestern State University with his best friend and teammate, Evan Wainman.
