FRESHMAN SEASON (2025-26)
Ethan Simon was the lone Polk State player to play in all 29 games during the 2025-26 season, which included 24 starts. Simon averaged 8.9 points and led the team by averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. He also shot a team-best 54% from the field. Simon had the best debut for a Polk State player for as far back as records could be found, finishing with 31 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in a loss to University of South Carolina Salkehatchie on Oct. 31. Simon finished with seven double-doubles as a freshman. He finished with 23 rebounds against IMG Academy on Nov. 9 and Daytona State College on Feb. 14. Simon had three steals against St. Petersburg College on Feb. 18. He hit his only 3-pointer against Northwest Florida State College on Dec. 7. Simon finished ninth in the FCSAA in rebounds per game 11th in field goal percentage. He scored in double figures 12 times.Â
BIO:
The son of Dontavious Simon and Claudine Allume, Ethan Simon played high school basketball at Edgewater High School where he helped the program finish as state runner-up. Simon has three sisters -- Clautavia, Claudia and Demi. He is a self-proclaimed chill guy.
