Audrye Alejandro Rivera

Audrye Alejandro-Rivera enters his first season as an assistant coach for Polk State Volleyball.
 
Alejandro-Rivera previously spent three seasons at Warner University, an NAIA program in Lake Wales, Fla. He spent two seasons with Warner’s men’s program and one with the women’s program. In 2022, Alejandro-Rivera was recognized as the Appalachian Athletic Conference Men’s Assistant of the Year as the Royals went undefeated in conference play and claimed the regular season title.
 
A native of Puerto Rico, Alejandro-Rivera began his collegiate playing career as a libero for Elms College, an NCAA Division III program in Massachusetts. As a freshman in 2017 in which he finished with the second-most digs in a season in program history, Alejandro-Rivera was named Elms' Men's Freshman of the Year, New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Libero of the Year, and second team All-Conference while becoming the first player in program history to earn NECC Defensive Player of the Year.
 
Alejandro-Rivera spent three years at Elms, helping the Blazers reach the conference championship match three times, winning it in 2018 to clinch an NCAA Tournament berth. In 2019, Alejandro-Rivera helped Elms finish with its best record ever at 29-5. A two-time NECC All-Academic selection, Alejandro-Rivera spent a season with the professional team Los Tiburones in Puerto Rico before concluding his playing career at Warner in 2021 where he was named Mid-South Conference honorable mention and an All-Academic Team selection.
 
Alejandro-Rivera earned his bachelor's degree in Foreign Language in 2020 from Elms and his master's in Education from Warner in 2022.
