SOPHOMORE (2021): Tied for the team lead in matches (21) and sets (77) played. Led the team in kills at 198, ranked second in digs at 271, and ranked fourth in blocks with 34, Had a season-best 16 kills in a thrilling five-set win over No. 16 Iowa Hill in the NJCAA National Tournament on 11/19 and also tied her season-high of 24 digs set in that same match, which she previously had achieved on 9/14 at Hillsborough. A part of the NJCAA District B Championship team. Was named Second Team All-Suncoast Conference and also earned placement on the FCSAA All-Academic Team with a 3.45 Grade Point Average.

FRESHMAN (2020-21): Tied for the team lead in matches (15) and sets (51) played. Ranked second on the team in kills (121) and digs (137) and totaled 19 blocks. Had a season-high 19 kills in a five-set win over Sante Fe on 3/27 and notched a season high 17 digs versus Eastern Florida State that same day. Earned placement on the FCSAA All-Tournament Team.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Karen and Tristan. She is studying business. Maria enjoys spending time with friends and enjoying a sunset on the lake. Her favorite food is nuggets and her favorite movie is The Lion King. She is a secret ability of whistling.
