Box Score LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Polk State Basketball fell dry from the perimeter on Saturday afternoon against Palm Beach State College. The Eagles only made two three-point attempts on the day, as Polk State dropped the contest 80-76.
 
The Eagles (6-3) have now lost three straight on the road, while the Panthers (7-5) snapped a two-game skid with the victory.
 
Freshman forward 
Cole White had a career day, scoring a season-high 27 with 21 of those points coming in the second half.
 
Sophomore guard 
Dominick Nelson turned in his third consecutive contest with 20-plus points, scoring 23. Nelson deposited 17 of those in the second half and 15 of his total points came at the free throw line.
 
TrayVon Osborne was next in line on the score sheet for Polk with seven points.
 
Polk State heads to Gainesville on Saturday for the NJCAA Region 8 shootout, where it will take on No. 5 Chipola College at 2 p.m.
 
Following the contest versus Chipola, the Eagles return home to the Health Center, where they are 3-0 this season, to host Monroe College on Thursday at 7 p.m.
