• After dropping both games of the doubleheader to No. 6 Santa Fe College on Saturday, Polk State will finish 14-14 at home.
• Hayle Peterson picked up her 10th win of the season in last week’s 6-1 upset of No. 10 Indian River State College. She allowed just one unearned run in the complete game. This marks the second year in a row that a Polk State freshman has gotten 10 wins. In addition to wins, Peterson leads the Eagles in innings pitched (119.1) and strikeouts (43).
• Polk State shortstop Calonnie Holmes is one stolen base shy of becoming the first member of the Eagles to finish with 30 steals since 2014.
• Catcher Leia Hurst had the only two hits for Polk State on Saturday in the doubleheader loss to Santa Fe College. Hurst is hitting .450 (9-for-20) over her last eight games.
• Polk State and College of Central Florida split a pair of one-run games when the teams met for a doubleheader on March 26 in Winter Haven. The teams split all four meetings last year.
• Hope Jordan leads College of Central Florida with eight home runs and 39 RBIs for the season. She finished 2-for-7 with an RBI in the first doubleheader against the Eagles this season.
