WINTER HAVEN – With all Polk State College sports currently in the offseason, it has become a summertime tradition for head coaches to hold camps.
Polk State coaches host summer camps to engage the local community and foster young athletes' interest in sports and higher education. While the summer camps are hosted by individual coaches rather than the College, because they are on campus, students are introduced to the idea of higher education. Portions of the proceeds benefit the athletic program.
The lone coach hosting camps this summer will be Polk State Volleyball's Jessica Beal. Entering her third season, Beal was a two-sport athlete at Seton Hill University in Pennsylvania. After helping Ottawa University reach the national NAIA Tournament as an assistant coach in 2023, Beal coached Polk State to a postseason appearance last year.
Beal will hold several different camps on the Winter Haven Campus, including two spanning from June 15 through 19 and then individual sessions each day from July 26 through 30. Camps cater to boys and girls of different ages and skill levels. For a full list of camps, more information or to register, visit the website for Beal's LLC,

Coaches also regularly host elite camps throughout the year. Elite camps are showcases for prospective student-athletes hoping to display the athletic skill necessary to play collegiately at Polk State.
