Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – It took No. 15 Polk State Volleyball 66 minutes to sweep Santa Fe College in straight sets on Saturday afternoon inside the Health Center. With the win and Hillsborough Community College's win over Indian River State College, the Eagles clinched a berth in the FCSAA Tournament.
The Eagles (11-6, 7-3 Citrus) had four players with five or more kills, while the Saints (5-15, 1-8 Citrus) did not muster more than 14 points in a set.
All 13 student-athletes on the Polk State roster saw playing time in the match.
"It was great to see all of our team get reps and find success on the court today," shared Polk State Head Coach Dayanna Barbosa. "To reach our goals here down the stretch, we will need everyone to play a part."
Polk commenced the opening set with a 5-0 run before Santa Fe quickly evened things up 5-5. However, the Eagles responded with an 11-2 run to take a commanding 16-7 lead in the set before closing things out, 25-14. Sophomore outside hitter
Keionna Mackey had five kills in her lone set played on the day.
The Eagles rode the momentum into the second set, jumping out to a 9-0 lead. Sophomore outside hitter
Crismeyli Rodriguez pounded four of her eight kills in the set, as Polk State took the session, 25-9.
The Saints came out swinging in the third set, keeping things even at 3-3. From there, The Eagles took complete control, using a 12-0 run to take a 15-3 advantage; they eventually ended the contest with a 25-10 victory in the set.

Martina Gonzato shined in the final two sets of the match, compiling three kills in each of the sets and recording three services aces on one hold in the final set of play.
Polk State remains at home with a monumental matchup against No. 1 Florida SouthWestern State College on Wednesday night in a Pink-Out game. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
