Box Score WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - Polk State Basketball commenced Thanksgiving week with a resounding 110-57 win over TRC Academy on its home court on Monday evening. The Eagles improved to 6-1 on the season with the victory, including 3-0 inside the Health Center. 
 
Polk State had six different student-athletes in double digits scoring for the third time this season and sunk a season-high 13 three-pointers as an offensive unit. On the defensive glass, the Eagles forced a season-best 27 turnovers, with 20 of those coming off steals, and blocked six TRC shots.
 
The Eagles scored 41 points off turnovers and outscored the Lions in the paint 52-28. 
 
Freshman forward 
Cole White maintained his double-double average, totaling a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds while also dishing out a team-best four assists. Freshman center 
Nathan Andrice was 6-for-10 in the paint, finishing the night with 15 points and two blocks. Freshman guard 
Ty Owens posted his fourth double-digit outing in his last five games with 14 points.
 
Freshman forward 
Malachi Stevens deposited 12 points and swiped four steals. Sophomore forward 
Moses Gordon was a perfect 4-for-4 inside the paint to total a season-high 10 points, while freshman guard 
Jordan Gimenez went 2-for-3 from three-point land to also land a season-high with 10 points. 
 
"This was a good overall team win," shared Polk State Head Coach Brandon Giles. "I'm proud of the guys who don't always get minutes for stepping up tonight and playing good basketball."
 
Polk State hits the road next to take on NJCAA Division II Florida Gateway College in Lake City on Nov. 29. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
