Box Score WINTER HAVEN — Polk State Volleyball ended a mini losing streak with ease on Saturday. The 15th-ranked Eagles rolled past Indian River State College in straight sets after dropping consecutive decisions against the nation's top two ranked teams.
The Pioneers didn't score more than 19 points in any set. For the day, Polk State finished with a .257 hitting percentage and eight service aces in the 3-0 win.
Keionna Mackey again led Polk State in kills with 16 while adding 12 digs.
Carolina Guerreiro Cruz and
Crismeyli Rodriguez each added seven kills.
Irene Mostardini led the Eagles (8-5, 4-2 Citrus Conference) with 18 digs.
Madi O'Sullivan led the team with 42 assists.
Polk State will continue a three-match homestand and complete the first time through Citrus play on Wednesday against Hillsborough Community College. Start time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
