Kellen Cashman gave the Eagles (13-7, 1-5 Citrus Conference) inspired minutes off the bench early on. An acrobatic finish by

Daytona State led 50-25 at halftime. Polk State never threatened in the second half.
As a team, Polk State shot just 34% from the field to 52% for Daytona State.

Karl Knighten Jr., and
Fray Nguimbi each added seven points in the loss. Matt Bewley led five Daytona State players in double figures with 16 points on 6-for-9 shooting.
The Eagles will aim for their Citrus Conference road win on Saturday afternoon when they head to Fort Pierce to take on Indian River State College. The Pioneers are the last remaining team without a Citrus Conference win.
