• Polk State will open its 2025-26 season in Daytona Beach with two games in two days on the campus of Daytona State College. The Eagles went 2-0 last year at the Daytona Beach Shootout with wins over University of South Carolina Salkehatchie and Southern Crescent Technical College.

• Polk State's 111-107 win over USC Salkehatchie last season was the 100th victory in the career of Head Coach Brandon Giles. Jimmy Cami led six Polk State players in double figures with 24 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Jai’Viaun Chisolm led the Indians with 26 points and eight rebounds.

• Cami is one of just three returning players for Polk State. Joining the sophomore from Congo are guard Kellen Cashman and center Harold Lee. The Eagles are coming off a 19-12 season that culminated in their first trip to the FCSAA Tournament in three years.

• This will be the first time that Polk State has opened the season against an out-of-state team for as far back as records could be found – more than 25 years. Polk State was 3-0 last season and has won four straight games against teams from outside the state of Florida.

• Wake Technical Community College went 17-14 last season. Charles Matheka is the team's top returning scorer. He averaged 4.1 points per game last season.
