PREVIEW
• Freshman forward Ethan Simon continues to be a monster inside for Polk State. In Saturday's win over Southern Coast Academy, Simon finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds – his third double-double of the year. In addition to averaging 17.6 points on better than 55% shooting, Simon is averaging 12.6 rebounds per game – tops in the FCSAA and third nationally.
• Despite a season-low 14 points on Saturday, Eric Dailey ranks fifth in the FCSAA, averaging 20.2 points per game. Dailey's 2.8 steals per game average is good for second in the state. Dailey and fellow guard Isaiah McCray have each scored in double figures in each of Polk State's first five games this season.
• Through five games, Polk State is averaging 95 points per contest – good for fourth in the FCSAA. In its only prior contest against NJCAA competition, Florida College JV allowed 112 points to Florida Gateway College.
• After being held scoreless in his first two games, Adonys Christo finished with 10 points in last week's win over DME Academy on 3-for-5 shooting. To this point in the season, eight different players – Simon, Dailey, McCray, Moises Valdez, Josh Pitts, Marques DaSilva-Romeo, Tre Jackson and now Christo – have scored in double figures at least once for Polk State.
