• Moises Valdez set an early career-high with 16 points against South Georgia State College on Dec. 20. Valdez made a career-high four 3-pointers in the loss.
• Josh Pitts and Eric Dailey each rank in the top 10 in the FCSAA in steals per game. Pitts ranks third, averaging 2.4 per contest while Dailey ranks 10th, averaging two. Indian River State College is the only other program in the FCSAA with two players in the top 10 in that category.
• Polk State played both Northwest Florida State College and Chipola College earlier this season. It went 0-2 against the squads in Tallahassee earlier this month. Dailey and Isaian McCray each scored 17 points in a 92-69 loss to Chipola on Dec. 6. Pitts led the Eagles with 17 points in a 70-59 loss to Northwest Florida State College on Dec. 7.
• Northwest Florida State's Justin Burns averages 14.1 points and 8.3 rebounds per game while leading the FCSAA with a .702 field goal percentage. Burns finished with 14 points and nine rebounds on 7-for-11 in the first meeting with Polk State.
• Chipola's Demarco Middleton ranks third in the FCSAA, averaging 5.9 assists per game. He finished with 10 points and four assists against Polk State on Dec. 7.
• Polk State and Santa Fe College have split the last six meetings. The home team won each of the two contests last season.
• Santa Fe has three of the top five shooters in the FCSAA when it comes to 3-point percentage. Joel Harrison ranks second in the state, shooting 50% from deep. Tre Dubois (.479) and Palmer Walton (.441) rank fourth and fifth, respectively.
