Box Score LAKELAND — In 2024, Polk State Soccer didn't score more than five goals in any match. The Eagles have exceeded that total in each of their two matches in 2025.
Polk State rolled to victory on Friday afternoon over Montgomery College (Md.), 6-1. The Raptors scored first but the Eagles (2-0) closed the contest with six unanswered goals from six different players.
After falling behind 1-0,
Kiana Kropp had the equalizer for Polk State. Kropp was credited with the assist on the next goal from
Marie Narewski as the Eagles went ahead for good.
Janessa Crespo assisted on each of the next two goals — one from
Agustina Carnero and another from
Riley Whale. Polk State led 4-1 at halftime.
Natasha Muchakati and
Taylor Armstead capped the scoring with second-half goals.
Paula Cortijo,
Kaylin Allen and
Hannah Williams added assists. In goal,
Ashley Miller finished with three saves.
Through two matches, Polk State has outscored opponents 14-1. The Eagles will remain home to take on Webber International University JV on Wednesday.
