Box Score MIAMI — Polk State Soccer's losing streak hit three on Sunday night. Miami Dade College found the net three times in the second half to down the Eagles, 3-1.
For the second straight match, goalkeeper
Ashley Miller kept the Eagles in it. Miller finished with nine saves, including six in the first half to keep it scoreless at the break.
Miami Dade finally broke through in the 57th minute on a goal by Betzael Contreras. Julia Gurgel doubled the lead about nine minutes later.

Madelyn English scored her first goal of the season — a beautiful shot past the keeper — in the 78th minute.
The Eagles had gone more 270 minutes without a goal. Jayla Espinosa answered for Miami Dade in the 84th minute to put the contest away.
The Sharks were in control for most of the night, finishing with an 18-7 shot advantage. English's goal came on one of just two shots on goal for Polk State.
Janessa Crespo had the other shot on goal for the Eagles.
Natasha Muchakati had two of the seven Polk State shots in the defeat.
After three straight road defeats, Polk State will get an extended rest. The Eagles return to action on Oct. 6 at Eckerd College JV.
