LAKELAND – After a monster month that included a signature win for Polk State Soccer, forward
Jaycie Noble has earned her first individual spotlight.
Noble has been selected as the Eagle of the Month for September 2026. The Eagle of the Month is selected by the Polk State Athletics Eagle of the Month Committee.
A freshman from Callahan, Fla., Noble played in all five matches for Polk State in September. Over those six contests, Noble tallied four goals, one assist, nine points, 22 shots, and eight shots on goal.
"Jaycie is a phenomenal player with a very bright future," Head Coach Dee Shivraman said. "As the competition level has ramped up, Jaycie has taken her game to a new level. It's been incredible to watch."
Noble opened the month with goals in consecutive matches – a 2-1 loss to New College of Florida JV on September 4 and a 7-1 win over Pasco-Hernando State College on September 5. Noble also assisted on one of
Oriana Moreno's three goals in the win over the Bobcats.
Noble's most notable performance, however, came in a 2-1 victory over No. 13 Eastern Florida State College on Wednesday night. Noble scored a pair of second-half goals, lifting the Eagles to their first road win in the series since 2010. In the process, Noble became the first Polk State player to score two goals in a conference match since Marcella Koasne did so in a 5-2 win at Daytona State College on October 8, 2022.
"Jaycie's performance this month is a reflection of the talent, determination, and competitive spirit that define Polk State Athletics," said Polk State President Anastasios Kamoutsas. "Her success on the field brings great pride to our College community, and we look forward to watching her continue to grow and make her mark as a Polk State Eagle."
The latest recognition is part of an outstanding individual season for Noble. She ranks third in the FCSAA in goals scored (7), fourth in points (15) and shots (32), and seventh in shots on goal (14).
"We're fortunate to have high-caliber student-athletes like Jaycie who can rise to the occasion against elite competition," said
Randy Lee, Polk State Director of Athletics. "I'm excited to see what she can do for an encore."
The top scorer for Polk State, Noble will be needed down the stretch as the Eagles close the regular season with three nationally ranked opponents. They'll begin October back in Melbourne for a neutral-site match with No. 11 Monroe Community College on October 10.
