WINTER HAVEN – Sophomore infielder
Kustarr Webb was among Polk State Baseball's leaders in several offensive categories this past season. Webb also made his presence felt as a leader in the classroom.
On Friday, Webb was recognized as the winner of the 2026 Bill Tuten Award by the Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA). The honor recognizes the FCSAA's top student-athlete for baseball.
Previously named the Polk State
Male Academic Athlete of the Year and to the
FCSAA All-Academic Team, Webb graduated summa cum laude in April from Polk State with his Associate in Arts degree. Over his two years at Polk State, the Jacksonville native posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
With a .425 on-base percentage, five home runs and 37 RBIs, Webb was as consistent as they came for Polk State in the middle of the batting order as a sophomore in 2026. Webb signed to continue his athletic and academic career at Bethune Cookman University, an NCAA Division I program, in Daytona Beach.
"Kustarr fought through injury and adversity during his time with our program, but he continued to put the work in on the field and in the classroom," Head Coach
Al Corbeil said. "He exemplifies what our program is all about and what it means to be a Polk State student-athlete."
