NEW PORT RICHEY — After salvaging a draw on Tuesday night, Polk State Soccer picked up its first road victory of the season on Friday afternoon. The Eagles held off Pasco-Hernando State College for a 2-1 win.

Sophomore Kaylin Allen again shined for Polk State (3-0-1), finding the net in the early minutes to put the Eagles in front to stay. Kaelyn Budier was responsible for the assist. That would be the only goal of the opening half.

In the second half, Allen recorded an assist as Isabella O'Sullivan scored her second goal in as many matches. Through four matches, the freshman from London now has four goals.

Pasco-Hernando was able to cut the lead in half with more than 25 minutes remaining. Goalkeeper Sofia Zapata and the Polk State defense, however, stiffened to preserve the win.

After an undefeated August, Polk State will remain on the road to begin September. It will visit New College of Florida in one week.
