Box Score FORT PIERCE — Polk Baseball is a season-high four games over .500 following a 9-3 victory over Indian River State College on Tuesday afternoon.
Starting pitcher

Indian River State was able to cut what was once a 4-0 deficit to 4-3 with a run in the third inning and two in the sixth. The Polk State bats, however, came to life late while the bullpen was lights out late. Out of the pen,

Polk State created some breathing room with two runs in the seventh, one in the eighth, and two more in the ninth. The Eagles finished with 13 hits.

Ray Bermudez each finished with three hits and two RBIs.
Pierce Glading hit his fourth home run of the year — a solo shot.
Ray Mercer and
J'Quann Smith each scored twice in the win.
With the victory, Polk State completes the season sweep of the Pioneers. Currently on a three-game winning streak, the Eagles will begin Suncoast Conference play on Friday at Hillsborough Community College.
