Jimmy Cami's monster night headlined another easy victory for Polk State Basketball on Wednesday night. The Eagles rolled past DME Academy for a fourth straight win, 93-57.
Cami finished with 23 points on 8-for-13 shooting and a program record 27 rebounds. Fourteen of those boards came on the offensive end.
The Eagles led 53-29 at halftime and never looked back. Polk State had another stellar defensive effort. It held DME Academy to 27% shooting from the field.
Four Polk State players scored in double figures.
Karl Knighten Jr. hit double digits for the fourth straight game, tallying 14 points.
Fray Nguimbi and
Kellen Cashman each added 12 points. Nguimbi also had a double-double, finishing with 13 rebounds.
Kenny Fields led the Eagles with six assists.
With the win, Polk State is now 4-0 for the second straight season. The Eagles will head to Daytona Beach for the Daytona State College Shootout. They'll take on the University of South Carolina at Salkehatchie on Friday afternoon.
