The Eagles (7-10, 2-5 Citrus Conference) bounced back from a 25-20 loss in the opening set with three straight set wins. After rolling to a 25-18 win in the second set, capped by Marina Santos' emphatic kill, Polk State was able to grind out 28-26 and 25-22 wins to take the match.

Alexia Ortiz powered the Polk State attack with 14 kills and six digs. Addison Phillippe finished with a match-high 30 assists and 12 digs.

Isabella Ramos led the Polk State defense with 20 digs. Sarah Boe Soerenson had a nice day with seven kills and nine digs.

"I'm very proud of how the team came together and executed the game plan," Head Coach Jessica Beal said. "They played well. I'm really proud of them."
