Box Score WINTER HAVEN — Fresh off a top-20 win, Polk State Volleyball wasn't able to keep the momentum going on Saturday. The Eagles were swept by Santa Fe College, 3-0.
All three sets were competitive. The Saints won by scores of 25-21, 27-25 and 25-20. Santa Fe closed the opening set with an ace.
Speaking of service aces,
Marina Santos led Polk State (6-10, 1-5 Citrus Conference) with four.
Addison Phillippe probably had the best day for the Eagles, recording 24 assists, 19 digs and three service aces.
Sarah Boe Soerenson and Santos led the Eagles with 10 and nine kills, respectively.
Isabella Ramos and Santos added 18 and 12 digs, respectively.Â
Polk State will now get an extended rest. The Eagles will return to action on Oct. 11 when they host Hillsborough Community College at 2 p.m.
