Box Score WINTER HAVEN — After two overtime losses in its first three games, Polk State Basketball picked up its second blowout win of the season on Wednesday night. The Eagles rolled past DME Academy for their first home win of the season, 82-57.
Up 37-26 at halftime, the Eagles (2-2) slowly pulled away. Polk State hit a season-low five 3-pointers but the contest was never in doubt.
Eric Dailey paced the Eagles in scoring for a second straight game, tallying 17 points.
Isaiah McCray wasn't far behind with 16 points.
Ethan Simon continued to be a force inside for Polk State, finishing with 15 points. Off the bench,
Adonys Christo finished with 10 points.
Jack Skinner led DME Academy with a game-high 20 points. Mikey Matthews added 17 points in the loss.
Polk State will wrap up a three-game homestand on Saturday against Southern Coast Academy. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m.
