PREVIEW
• In Saturday's 72-69 loss to Florida State College at Jacksonville, guard Isaiah McCray equaled the highest-scoring total for a Polk State player this season with 31 points. Averaging 17.8 points per game for the season, McCray has led the Eagles in scoring in each of the last two games. He has shot better than 50% from the field in each game. McCray ranks fourth in the FCSAA, shooting 42.1% from beyond the 3-point arc.
• Over the last two games, Josh Pitts has 18 assists, which included a career-high 10 on Saturday night in Jacksonville. He's the first Polk State player to record 10 assists in a game this season.
• With last week's losses, Polk State has now dropped nine games in a row. The Eagles, however, continue to fight. During the skid, Polk State has led or had a shot to tie with less than four minutes remaining four times.
• Daytona State College is led by sophomore guard Tyrese Lacey, who is averaging an NJCAA-best 8.1 assists per game. Wednesday's contest will be the first meeting between the Falcons and Eagles since Daytona State escaped in a 68-66 thriller in last season's FCSAA Tournament quarterfinals.
• Polk State took both meetings against Indian River State College last season. At 10-5, however, the Pioneers have already equaled last season's win total. Indian River State forward Tamiel Green ranks second in the FCSAA and in the top 20 nationally, averaging 9.5 rebounds per contest.
