PREVIEW

• Marie Narewski, a freshman from Germany, continued her goal-scoring rampage with goals in contests against Miami Dade College and Trinity College of Jacksonville last week. Narewski is now tied for the FCSAA lead with five goals and ranks second in points with 11. Polk State's Janessa Crespo also has 11 points this season.

• With 20 saves on the season, Polk State freshman goalkeeper Ashley Miller leads Region 8 in that category. Miller finished with a career-high 11 saves in last week's 1-1 draw with Miami Dade College. With the draw, Polk State snapped a 12-match losing streak to Region 8 competition.

• Although the Eagles have come to life offensively in the second half in recent matches, they have been held without a first-half goal in each of their last three matches.

• With Saturday's 4-0 win over Trinity College of Jacksonville, the Eagles eclipsed last season's win total. It was also the second shutout of the year for Polk State.

• Eastern Florida State College's Avery Bracher is off to a monster start this season for the Titans. She leads the team in goals (3), assists (2) and points (8).

• Dahien Cabrera is the player to watch for Edward Waters University. She has one of the Tigers' three goals and an assist this season.

PREVIEW

• Polk State will enter Citrus Conference play on a three-match winning streak. The Eagles eclipsed last season's win total with a sweep of Andrew College last week.

• Polk State still has three of the top five servers in the FCSAA. Addison Phillippe (0.69), Alexia Ortiz (0.65) and Marina Santos (0.59) rank second, third and fifth, respectively, in service aces per set. Miami Dade College's Eloenora Gicheva averages 1.11 aces per set – good for first in the FCSAA and second nationally.

• Polk State's Ella Langstrom finished with 10 kills in last week's win over Andrew College on just 12 total attacks. Langstrom (.307) now ranks fifth in the FCSAA in hitting percentage.

• Isabella Ramos ranks fourth in the FCSAA with a 3.83 digs per set average. She was the top returning player in the FCSAA in that category entering the season. Miami Dade's Katianna Mejía Betancur leads the FCSAA and ranks third nationally in that category, averaging 5.16 per set.

• Hillsborough Community College's Pamela De Jesus Tejedor ranks fifth in the FCSAA with 120 kills this season. She finished with 15 kills against Polk State in the first meeting between the schools last year.

• Against Miami Dade on Saturday, Polk State will look for its first win over a No. 1 team since knocking off Iowa Western Community College in the 2022 opener in Fort Myers. The Sharks have won the last five meetings.
