Twice, Eastern Florida State had set point, but the Eagles refused to let their opportunity slip away. Following a kill and an Eastern Florida error that gave Polk State a 17-16 lead, Freitag ended it with a service ace, giving the Eagles an 18-16 victory.
Freitag and Combs led Polk State with 12 kills apiece. Castano narrowly missed a double-double, finishing with nine kills and 12 digs.
