WINTER HAVEN – Through the first week-plus of the season, Polk State Baseball boasts one of the highest-scoring offenses in the country. A big reason for that is a right-handed power bat in the middle of the order.

Polk State first baseman Kustarr Webb is recognized as the Eagle of the Month for January 2026. The Eagle of the Month is selected by the Polk State Athletics Eagle of the Month Committee.

Through seven games, the Jacksonville native is batting .522 (12-for-23). He leads the team with two home runs, 10 RBIs, a .633 on-base percentage and a .738 slugging percentage. Webb ranks in the top five in the FCSAA in each of those categories except slugging. He ranks second in on-base percentage, third in average and fifth in home runs and RBIs.

Webb already has three multi-hit games this season and three contests with three RBIs. He has also scored seven runs and ranks second in the FCSAA with seven walks drawn.

Thanks in part to Webb's production in the middle of the order, Polk State ranks second in the FCSAA and in the nation with 68 runs scored. Webb was one of four Polk State players to sign with a four-year program this fall. He will continue his collegiate career next season at Bethune Cookman University in Daytona Beach.
