PREVIEW

• Polk State tied season-highs for runs (18), hits (20) and home runs in Thursday’s 18-10 run-rule win over State College of Florida. The 18 runs is the most for Polk State in a conference game since putting up 24 runs against the Manatees on March 5, 2022 in a 24-12 rout. Marvin Montenegro finished  a triple shy of the cycle. The freshman catcher went 5-for-5 with three doubles, a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored.

• Carson Montsdeoca and Roman Corinti are tied for the team lead with five wins apiece. The Eagles are the only team in the FCSAA with two pitchers with at least five wins.

• Polk State beat University of Tampa (B) in seven innings on Feb. 24 by a score of 17-2. Montenegro, Bradyn Potter, Jack Muller and Kenay Acevedo each finish with three hits.
